The Kristyna M. Driehaus welcomed the first two medical student participants of the annual Regina’s Hope Medical Program. This program, which is fully managed and supported by The Kristyna M. Driehaus Foundation, was created as a tangible expression of the Foundation’s mission to offer a unique opportunity for students of medicine in the Czech Republic to gain clinical and research experience in state-of-the-art Chicago-area hospitals. Currently, the Foundation is collaborating with Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago and the Charles University Medical School and Motol Hospital in Prague, Czech Republic.

Free-lance photographer Petr Sobek was awarded a grant to support his “Southeast Asia in Photographs” exhibition. Mr. Sobek’s work will be shown both in the Czech Republic (Prerov, Brno, Kromeriz, Olomouc, Praha) and in the United States (New York, Chicago) during the year 2005.
